We are working on making this our biggest fundraiser yet for Chris and our goal to raise the rest of the $10,000.00 as a down payment on a wheelchair accessible truck for him. We are getting so very close to our goal and we will reach our goal if it all goes according to plan!
We are planning a car show/ food truck/ vendor show for Saturday August 16, 2014 from 10:00 am-4/5:00pm (still not definite on all of our times yet.) We will be at Leg Up Farm in Mt. Wolf. This is a totally awesome venue and we are already familiar with it because our sons Harley and Tucker attend therapy there. They have gorgeous walking trails, an awesome coi pond, and a giant ADA Compliant playground. Enjoy the day with the whole family.
We are in the planning stages right now for the entire event and will have more details as we figure things out! Our last big fundraiser was November and was a huge success. This event promises to be even more fun and exciting with the addition of a car show and food trucks along with the vendors!

The boys’ handprint Santas were a hit! All 10 sold out by noon! We were selling them at $3.00 a piece. One last ended up donating $10.00 for one so altogether the boys brought in $37.00 for Daddy’s truck! Could not be happier that our boys are learning what it means to help and work towards a family goal! They get so excited when talking about “Drive For Independence”.
The total for the day was $113.00 which was excellent for us! We are looking forward to possibly doing it next year if we get ” Drive For Independence” going as the charity!
It was great meeting people and sharing our story! I know many who did donate probably won’t see this but we cannot thank them enough for their kindness and generosity. We weren’t even asking for “donations” yesterday and some out of the kindness of their hearts did!
Thank you to Chris’ mom for allowing us to sell candles, melts and ornaments as well! It really helped!

Introducing our biggest fundraiser to date: The Drive For Independence Holiday Bazaar! It will be on Sunday, November 10th from 11:00am-3:30pm. It will be held at Hellam Fire Hall- 163 E Market St Hallam, PA 17406. We are now accepting applications to be a vendor at our Drive For Independence Holiday Bazaar! Spaces are 8ft tables with chairs provided for $25. If electric is needed it is a $5.00 additional fee. We will have 20-25 vendor spots available.
We will have a Mobility SVM Demo Truck on site so everyone will have an opportunity to get a good look at what we are fundraising for. Ride-Away in Norristown, PA will be bringing it and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions.
